My thoughts, exactly. I told her how much I liked her entry and then worried I had jinxed it. Not that I really believe in that sort of thing, but I was relieved and thrilled to see her name at the TOP!
DMarie84 wrote:Also, I think this is Kristen's 3rd time placing in EC, which means, it's time for her to move up to Masters! :)
All I have to say about that is AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!   :? :? :)

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!
I've had my elderly mother-in-law visiting and other events happening so I didn't read as many as I wanted. (Plus, I have to admit I was hesitant about reading so many sad stories.) Since I don't have an entry to write, I'll try to read some more this week.

Hooray! I was tickled to see "Peggy's Funeral" do well--it was inspired by my actual sister-in-law's funeral at which a lady stood up and....YODELED!

A huge thanks to the judges. And I will testify that although Deb has been here for two days, and has known the results ever since she got here, she never breathed a word. But this morning, at 9:01, she caught me still in my pajamas and said, "Have you checked the results yet? You really need to check those results now..."

I thought, "Hmmmmm....."

Congratulations to all the winners! This was a tough week to stand out, so extra kudos to all of you! And of course, excellent job to those who didn't place but still touched hearts - I don't see how the judges do it!

Seema, I'm so happy for you. Your story was perfect. I really do hope you expand it, and let me read it!

Kristen - goodness gracious! Masters already. Be 'confident' about moving up, and don't be 'embarrassed' about taking first place so often. This is a 'happy' time, enjoy it!

Congratulations - there were truly some great writings this past challenge.
Proving, in a way, beauty and creativity can come from great sadness.

Sure am glad you didn't say "has-been." Now that would have been sad!

Thank you. I am hardly confident, but I am happy. What I really fear is being embarrassed by some grammar error or misuse of a word. That would make me sad! I look up to you people in masters. But I seriously don't think anyone should be looking up to me as an example for writing! I am still learning.
