Need Another Reason To Participate In Jan's Lessons?

Around the end of January, I wrote a vignette for Jan's lesson on characterization in which I invented two characters--Amanda and Lise (Scroll down to the 11th post.):

After writing it, I just couldn't bear to leave poor Amanda in such a sorry state, so I expanded the vignette into a short story. Yesterday, the short story was published in Mused Literary Review:

Thanks to my Challenge buddies Rachel Barrett, Milly Born, and Kat Kane for their help with this story. And thanks especially to Jan for all of her lessons which have helped me so much. I think my experience illustrates that it pays to participate in the lessons as well as read them.
