General Reference Books for Guidelines in Writing

Buck, there is no FW reference book. The judges for the writing challenge are all seasoned writers and many of them are also editors; however, there's not one definitive style manual that they all use. And neither is any particular style made mandatory for the other FW writing contests.
If you hire a FW-endorsed editor for your MS, you and that editor will have a conversation about style, particularly if your writing is nonfiction or academic.
