Why We Need More Books 12/6/10

Post by Writetrack »

This week, Glenn explores the question, "Do we really need more books?"
He writes:

A recent post on the FaithWriters' forum read, "In the United States of America, there are approximately 260,000 new titles published each year. Add to this all the other new titles published each year in other countries. The year Moby Dick by Melville was published; the United States published 305 titles."

The question posed after this information asked, "Why does the world need another book?"

What do you think? Read the complete article to see if you agree with Glenn's opinion. (As a writer, chances are you will :) )
