Why Writing for Children is Like Writing Devotionals 10/18

Writing for children. It seems like it would be an easy thing to do. After all we're talking about a word count that is generally less than a thousand words. Face it the vocabulary doesn't have to be especially deep. So why aren't more people successful at writing children's stories?

Do you write for children? Then you know it's not as easy as some (okay, many) may think. Glenn has written many stories and articles for kids and can attest to how difficult it is to not only write for children, but to break into the market. Glenn has come to the conclusion that writing for children is a bit like writing devotionals. Curious what brought him to that conclusion?
