This is only a test. We have had a little glitch in the forums with notifications going to the wrong member. The two members have very similar user names, and it is apparently messing with the system. So if LaVonne gets a notification of this, instead of Yvonne, then we are back in action.

Deb, I check the forums for new posts every day and found your message. I did not get a notification in my E-mail if that is what you wanted. Would it help if I changed my name on the Forms to LaVonne instead of Vonnie? Hope we can get the problem solved. God bless!

It should be okay now, since Yvonne's name has been changed. The good thing is that Yvonne didn't get a notification about this post, so maybe that's been solved. You may have your profile set to not receive notifications. I'm not sure. Because you check the new posts each day, I'm not so concerned for you missing something. Still, it's really weird how it was getting it wrong.

Deb, I sure do want to receive notifications. I don't see anything on my profile page to change it so I can receive them. How can I fix it? Sorry Yvonne had to change her name. Hope she is not upset. Computer programs can be very frustrating sometimes. Blessings, LaVonne

Hi Vonnie. It's a little convoluted to track down where it is. The problem will be if yours is marked to be notified already (which may mean your notifications are going to your junk mail).

Anyway, click on the User Control Panel near the top left of the boards. It is a very small link, but it is the one you go to for your private messages. Here's a direct link:

From there, select the Board Preferences tab (third tab along).

When that opens, select the "Edit Posting Defaults" (second option on the left).

Click Yes for the last of the four options in that section: Notify me upon replies by default.

Hit "Submit" and you should be good to go.

If it is already showing as "Yes," then the notifications could be going to junk. Or we may need to change your user name.
