Hi FRIEND-BOBS...Jazzy Tazzy, read your song lyrics....very, very, very good. Honestly CANNOT wait to hear it to music. Although I LOVE music...don't have an ear for it but can SO hear this song. Please do the world a favor and find someone or a band or something to put it to music.

As for you Timmy-Tot...just hi-ya back at ya and so glad you stopped in to say Hi....really do miss you around here.

And Boo....thanks for striving with me to hit those 600 pages!

And Amy....tooooo funny about how we all get confused with our names...I think it must be because we all share the same spirit and see each of us in the others.

Who knows....but Ivy knows I was talking to her...right Amy...I MEAN IVY?
:heehee

Wow, that's an old one. An Old English choir carol written in the 1700s..

Anyway, I am home and fixing to jump in the shower and then kick back and watch some videos.

I've always loved that song because it has my name in it, but it never clicked with Hollypop! That's awesome. :hugs2

Tazzy, I'll look at your song later. But that sounds like an awesome story.

As I was reading Shann's post I was thinking that we should do something like Mystery on the boards but a secret Santa, so it was pretty great when Ivy suggested it.

So I think its a good idea 8)

IvyKat wrote:Friends, please pray. My dear friendsister Anavah (14) told me tonight that while she believes that God created the earth, she doesn't believe that he's still around doing stuff. She doesn't seem to have the most basic grasp of Christianity even though she grew up in a Christian home. Pray that God would give me wisdom and words to say when I talk to her.
I'll definitely pray but it's important to remember that at that age kids really start questioning God especially if they grew up in a Christian home. It doesn't necessarily mean she is losing her faith just growing up and figuring things out for herself. Which is really a good thing, you want them to fully know who Jesus is not just parrot their parents' beliefs and sometimes that involves asking questions or saying things to shock people.

The most important thing is to not scare her away. The best thing you can do is pray. God loves her and is watching, then share your experiences without "shoving it down her throat"

This age is so hard anyhow. You're trapped between child and adult and realizing for the first time you have power and control over your decisions. My other concern is it sounds like something bad has happened in her life that she might be blaming God for.

Be there for her encourage her to talk, sometimes with my kids I'd play devil's advocate and get them to really think about what they were saying. That was super important to me that my kids were capable of thinking for themselves which probably explains why they are so different. But I'd rather have them start thinking in their teens than all of a sudden have them be in their 30s and realize their beliefs weren't truly theirs.

I'll be praying for both of you. Hugs. You could probably get 100 different opinions on this so trust your heart and do what you think God ids leading you to do and say!
