Wk 8 Topic - JOY

Postby Deb Porter » Thu Dec 07, 2017 4:40 pm

Christmas blessings, Challengeers. This is the last topic for the quarter, and I thought this was a suitable word as we enter this Christmas season. The Week 8 topic is:

Of course, you don’t need to write about Christmas, but there’s no denying that we have JOY because of Jesus. Even so, let’s look at what the dictionary has to say about this most marvellous word.

We feel joy, we know joy, we find joy. As Christians, we know that we can have joy even in times of great difficulty. It doesn’t rely on our circumstances. As the old song goes, we have that joy, joy, joy down in our hearts.

As always, you can write in any genre or style, and you can do with the topic whatever your heart desires. The important thing is to make sure the topic (JOY) is the CENTRAL focus of your entry.

Also, make sure your entry conforms to the rules.

Don't forget to check your word count before submitting (entries must be between 150 and 750 words). A very reliable and free online word count check tool is this one:

PLEASE, always hit the preview button to check your entry before hitting the final submit button. This is the only way to make sure your entry is uploaded correctly. This is very important, particularly if you are using HTML code for the first time. Once you have previewed your entry, close the preview page and hit the submit button.

Finally, once submitted, do a check to make sure your entry is safely in the list:

So as we come to the end of this quarter of the Writing Challenge, I wish you and your loved ones every joy at Christmas and for the year ahead.

Love, Deb
