Here's my OOTB idea: The fire truck comes to school for an assembly. One of the kinders climbs aboard and hides. The firefighters leave with the child on board the truck. Told from the child's POV.

I just completed a search for exclamation points in my writing. I found 10 of them spread out over 33 stories.

I'll have to double check, but I'm sure nearly all of them were in dialogue, several of them in lines spoken by kids.
