Now that many of us have shared words that have been pronounced with a bit flair. I must admit, I'm often found myself in the predicament where most of my new words come from the written word, so I sound it out in my head. If I don'5t know the meaning I would always look it up. But since I was taugh...

I know that my yellow boxes as been perceived as too harsh at times, and there have been many times that I've backed away from leaving them, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings. It's difficult to leave constructive critique on an anonymous entry, not knowing if the writer's mistakes are a chronic...

Does someone send a "Welcome to FaithWriters" e-mail? I wonder if they could include "directions" to this class. Hmmmmmmm..... I try to be diligent when it comes to welcoming the newbies. I usually try to add a few paragraphs, telling what the site offers, invite them to hang ou...

You started this thread the week I was in the hospital so I didn't really have a chance until today, but in reference to this: TODAY’S QUICK TAKE: Shoulda, woulda, coulda What about "kind of" I use that frequently and my gut tells me it's not correct, but like you said we write like we tal...

My grandmother used to play the card game Solitary. I misused it for years until I was old enough to understand my mom's explanation that it was Solitaire and it wouldn't be right to correct Grandma. The vegetable rutabaga was always pronounced rootabaggie. It didn't stop me from eating them but I'm...

See what you didn't understand, the weeks you didn't enter, I'd go into the archives to get a taste of PUP, so see you can be one of my favorites every week, even if you didn't enter! OK OK, but what ever you do, don't place a comment on "The Trumpet Sounds" I am going for a record on tha...

Thank you again. My self-esteem has taken a beating lately, and I was afraid people might think I was prideful for commenting on the pieces. but I truly received so much more than the little I gave. It's wonderful to share other's thoughts and ideas. I feel I have been blessed by all of you.

And thank you Shann for your dedication. Honestly, I don't see how the judges can do it. I tried once, when I first started up, to read through them all. I saw so many "GOOD" writers, it made me feel bad that mine was even listed among them. Now, even reading just the ones listed in the H...
