Jan,
Thanks for the punctuation corrections. I still have so much to learn and really appreciate these lessons. Yes, it is the true story, my personal testimony from October 22,1967. I'll look at your suggestions again tomorrow.

Thanks,
Pam

My sweetheart tried to persuade me to make a personal commitment to Jesus as Lord and Savior. I resisted his efforts. I believed in God; I prayed. His attitude offended me. We started attending church; and I even tried to read the Bible. Talking on the phone one Saturday night, Norm said, “I’ll pick...

Oops! Got me with the Susan. I guess I'd be more likely to tag the speakers when more characters are involved in the conversation. I forgot to ask my question. I'm never sure if I should use italics or quotes when a person is in silent prayer. I mean he is not thinking to himself. He is praying to G...

God has a great sense of humor. I worked as a radio announcer for about twenty years. All of those Top 40 formats caught up with me. I ranked at #40 in the challenge countdown!

One more try.... Jocelyn yelled in her mother’s face. “I’m not your little baby girl! I guess you think I should go see a Disney movie! Give me one good reason I can’t go! Spring Break Axe Murderer might be gross, but big deal. It’s not real!” “I don’t care. I said you aren’t going.” “Why, why won’t...

Tina tuned Jocelyn out. Her thoughts put her on the defensive. I’m not a kill joy. I read the latest parenting articles in an effort to keep up to date with the teens of today. Surely things could not have changed that much since I grew up in the 1980’s. Keeping peace with her is not easy. She is no...

Like most young girls, Jocelyn felt like her mother must be clueless to her generation. In a heated disagreement about her choice of a night time movie, she defiantly stood her ground. “How can you be so mean to me? All the other parents are letting their kids go! I’ll just die if Ashley and Tiffani...

The East Coast is shoveling out after a three foot snow fall! Airports are deserted. Government offices remain closed; and children celebrate the announcement of another day out of school. Highway departments are simply not equipped to deal with rapid snow accumulations of two- three inches per hour...

The President eyed bills proposed by Congress, stacked on his Oval Room desk. He planned to sift through them the night before; but a terrorist threat weighed heavy on his mind. His private secretary warned him many times about the danger of delays. The President anxiously eyes a stack of bills from...
