Re: Winners for REST

I'm utterly speechless. I wasn't expecting to even place, much less be chosen for EC. Wow. Thanks to everyone who judges our entries each week. You put in a lot of hard work, just so we can experience the fun of the Challenge. Congrats to all you writers! There were some awesome stories this week.

Jan, You are truly a master teacher! I am learning so much through your skillful editing done with such a gentle touch. Thank you. jim I agree as well. Your teaching and assignments have done more for my writing than anything else I've used up to this point. Haven't had time to trim that story down...

I love it, Jan! This is the very thing I needed to see. Thank you so much!

I will try to take your version and trim it down to 300 words or less. That will be quite a challenge for "Miss Wordy" me. :)

Seriously. That one put mine to shame! (And the fact that it's been 14 years since I was 14, and I was a pretty docile and reasonable teen, although certainly not without the typical hormonal histrionics....life was so dramatic then....) But, Leah, I liked yours! I thought your tak...

Nonny, beautifully done and WAY more than was necessary! Extra credit for you! Thank you, Jan! Wow. I am humbled by your kind words. I stayed up through the night to get caught up on your homework assignments because I've been sick for the past couple of weeks, and really bad last week. Mayb...

Okay, I'm going to try this. Feel free to rip it apart. "Mom! This is like... SO unfair! I can't believe --" "I'm sorry, but the answer is still 'No.'" Tina calmly placed her purse on the kitchen counter, and began going through the day's mail. "But... but... Ash and Tiff ar...

Having taken two years of French in high school from a teacher who was the wife of an ambassador to France, I have to say that I not only can spell it correctly but can also say it correctly. However, the teacher's name (which we were required to say "en français" as well) was "Madame...

Re: Jan's Writing Basics #4: Overusing Exclamation Points

I just did it again! I love your lessons! (Hope that exclamation point isn't out of line) I have lea...
