My name is Joanne Sher, and I love the Lord, and love writing almost as much. I have written for newspapers in the past, and am currently stretching my wings with Christian fiction and am working on some non-fiction about some of my life experiences, including my conversion to Christianity and some of the struggles God has brought me and my family through, including a serious illness of my husband's.
I was raised in the Los Angeles area, and am Jewish by birth. I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at age 31 after having moved to West Michigan with my husband, who was also raised Jewish (he came to Christ 3 months later).
I have been writing, on and off, for as long as I can remember. I wrote for my high school and college newspapers, and worked for a few weekly newspapers, as well as a daily, for a few years.
I have two children, ages 9 and 12. My husband has been home on disability for several years because of health issues. God, and His people, have been extremely faithful and helpful to us through this trial. I likely have several dozen stories inside me related to what we've been through during this time - one of which recently won a contest. Look for it to be published soon, God willing.
