that is our introduction into the world of exams. We go to the doctor and get examined the first year. What goes through our minds? this guy must not have anything better to do then to poke and treat me like a pin cushion. The exams don’t stop there, we have to go to school, so the exams continue from head to toe. What’s wrong now? Well I soon find out that the teacher is added as another person who examines us.
we have to memorize our ABC’s, number and history facts before we can advance from grade to grade. We have to pass PE and in my mind, I think, I’ll never use this.
Well we reach our teen age years and that all important drivers license pops up. I can do this with no problems. i take the test and to my demise I don’t pass, because I didn’t listen. Well so much for that. Gotta move on with my life. Time to graduate from high school, but alas they have changed the rules and you now need to take an exam. I think in my mind. “What have I been doing all this time? No one can give me a straight answer.
Well I’m going to go to college and put this all behind me. Alas, exams start all over again. What’s this? I’m not paying to take an exam. I already know all that there is to know.
College is over and now I am free of exams, so I think. Old age creeps up on me slowly and it’s just like in the beginning. the doctor asks, can you hear, what is that letter? Give me a break doctor, I’m well into the prime of my life. Just let me live without an exam.
“1 Corinthians 11:28 - But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. “
So we must look at exams and their purpose in our life. God knows the purpose and it is not for us to question.
