I was born Nadine Marie Dobson on 07/20/1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. My late parents were Ralph Lee, and Dorothy Viola Potler-Dobson, they are both deceased. My father was in the Navy so we lived in many dfferent places mostly on the East coast of the United Sates. I have two siblings Denise Allmendinger, and Ralph Dobson, Jr.
I have believed in God, and have been a praticing Christian for as long as I can remember. We rarely attended church when I was a child, but my Grandmother Dobson in West Virginia was a strong Christian, and her belief influenced me. We would have long conversations about God, and Christ. I began writing Christian poetry at the age of ten, and Grandma Dobson encouraged me to submit one of my poems to The Charlestown Gazette at the age of 16, they published it under the name of Rose, it was entitled "Show Me The Way." I never tried submitting anymore of my poems until 1996, although I continued to write.
I have been very active in The United Methodist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Junior Church Director, Sunday School Superintendent, etc. I have written many skits for the children each year for Christmas.
I have been married to my husband Wayne who I met at Floyd E. Kellam High School in 1972 at the age of 13, we both graduated with Honors in 1977. We married in 1988, and we have three adult children, Jenifer Fletcher, Kristen Holmgren, and Jeremy Riggs. We have one grandson Coltyn Jamison Garrison.
I graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1981, and started working for Virginia Beach General Hospital three days after graduation. I attended Norfolk State University majoring in Psychology for 3 years but dropped out when I married in 1988. I received my Associates Degree in Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1995. I specialized in Critical Care, and Intravenous Therepy. I am now retired after 30 years, and am concentrating on my writing. My first Christian Fiction novel was released this year on 09/08/2009, called "The Judgement Line."

MY NEWS
My book "The Judgement Line" was released on 09/08/2009. It is about a young man who has congenital heart disease and needs a heart transplant. While waiting for the transplant he has a near death experience and ends up in the judgment line of God.
The Back Matter reads: "Tommy didn't expect it to be like this. At such a young age, he never expected to face death nor his sins until later in life. Now, face-to-face with the Father, he quickly sees that he is not prepared for this day. Uncertain as to what he'll say, Tommy listens to what those around him confess. One told of his mission work, of helping others in foreign lands, another of her achievements as a movie actress and how fame and fortune had allowed her to donate to charity.
Inching closer to the throne, Tommy is seized by panic and is tempted to turn and run, but where? He knows there is no place to hide from God. Tommy soon realizes that no one escapes the final judgment. Is Tommy ready? He has no choice, for he's next in The Judgment Line."
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- I have been writing poetry since the age of 10 as I said, and with the encouragement of my family I began sbmitting my poems for publishing in 1996 my first was entitled "To My Children," and was published in the anthology "Shadows and Lights." From then on I was invited to submit my poems frequently in specialized editions with "The Best Poems and Poets of the 1998, The Best Poems and Poets of the 1990's, The Best Poems and Poets of the 20th Century, and many others. Until finally I was invited to submit an entry into The Who's Who of Poetry in 2004 with the poem entitled "The Wonder of God's Creation." I was surprised and very excited to find my poem was one of the three featured poems in the beginning of the book, as a matter of fact it was the first as I opened the book, and I was the featured poet from the United States.
- In 2006 I received the Cambridge Who's Who in Nursing, I also received the Heart and Soul reward in Nursing in 2001, as they said I gave my heart and soul to all my patients. I also received Employee of the month in June of 1998, and employee of the year in 1998 from the same organization.
- I was inducted in The Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society in 1986, and I received the Who's Who In American Colleges and Universitys in 1986.
