I'm a widow of six years, mother of two, and grandmother of eight! Born in Rockland, Maine, I attended local schools before completing three years of secondary school at the New Brunswick Bible Institute in New Brunswick, Canada.
I've also completed several home writing courses besides one semester at the University of Maine.
Homes-schooling with my wonderful grandchildren in winter and working at local fairs in the summer with Amazing Grace Mission, keeps me fulfilled.
I grew up near Rockland, after moving with my family - which consisted of my parents and six siblings - several times. There were five sisters and one little brother.
Most of my schooling was in a one-room schoolhouse with a VARIETY of teachers. I can almost compare my story with "Little House on the Prairie".
We had a conglomeration of farm animals, Depending on my father's whims of the moment. We drank water from a well and made regular trips to the outhouse.
Since marriage in 1960, my life has also been quite eventful. Six months after my son, Daniel, was born, I went into anaphylactic shock after taking one penicillin pill! I was not expected to live. I attribute my life today to my three-year-old daughter, Deborah's, prayer as she fell on her knees by the sofa and pleaded with God.
I have had a constant awareness of the value of time and how I might best serve God and others, since that day.
