Women of the Bible: A Brief Biographical Genealogy.
***********************************
PREFACE:
Considering the abundance of fictional books currently being published about the women of the Bible, there is a need for a factual account of their lives and relationships. This reference work delves into the well of scriptural records to produce a bountiful reservoir of names, meanings of names, relationships, and accounts of every named woman of the Bible. It is hoped that it will complement the Christian basic home library and those of churches, seminaries, and colleges also.
To adequately appreciate and understand the women of the Bible, this author felt the need to piece together the origins of these women with their resulting progeny. Ascendants plus descendants equals a clearer analysis of past history recorded on the pages of Scripture. I painstakingly researched the material as thoroughly as possible, and hopefully there are no errors. Though very tedious to say the least, this study has not been without its rewards. It has intrigued, amazed, and encouraged me, and it is my hope that this labor of love will do the same, and more, for its readers.
I want to thank Almighty God for all those who assisted me in writing this book. Their support, assistance, and prayers, are greatly appreciated.

Abi was a daughter of Zachariah and became a wife of Ahaz, King of Judah. No other information is revealed relating to her ancestry. Her marriage to King Ahaz established Abi and her progeny into association with the Messianic line.
1
In contrast to her God-fearing father-in-law, King Jotham, and her son, King Hezekiah, Ahaz was one of the more ungodly kings of Judah. The country suffered many invasions from her adversaries, Syria and Israel, as Gods judgment for her reckless abandonment into idolatry. Ahaz blatantly authorized the worship of any pagan god that happened to be in vogue, sacrificed some of his own children to these idols and decreed that the doors of the Lords temple be obstructed. His conduct was considered so contemptible that upon his death, the royal family deemed his body unworthy to be buried in the family plot.
