Topic: SKELETON IN THE CLOSET (11/30/17)
It’s dark in here. And quiet. Except when I manage to move. Then it’s creepy… bone on bone…clinking, clunking, bouncing off the walls. Echoes hammering the nails in my casket.

You know, I’m tired of this. First you kill me then you leave me here to shed all form of reality. All flesh, muscle, sinew, tendons and ligaments, melted away. Organs useless. No eyes, ears or tongue. All I have left is dry chalk white bones…

Hey!
Can….you….hear…me?
GAH!!!!
I’m hanging here - in the back basement closet of your memories….
Would you just STOP all the positive declarations for once and LISTEN!
I’m rattling as loud as I can…

I want attention!
I want to be heard!
I want to be understood!

Your sing-songy voice is driving me insane. “I’m a new creation. I can do all things through Christ. I am loved with an everlasting love. I am holy.“

I HATE your new found confidence. Your new identity. It’s a CROCK!

This will all come crashing down…at the worst possible moment…probably in public…or at that new church you’re attending…you can’t hide me forever down here!

Whatever happened to the good old days? We were great together. You needed me. I got you through all the crap in your life. And, honey, let’s face it, you had plenty of crap. What will your new friends think when they find out about your rebellious ways…the drugs…your wanton youth spent as a band groupie…the rape…the abortion…Hey, I’m just touching on the highlights…

Oooohhh….silence…finally. You’re thinking about me. I feel some muscle growing. Now we’re talking…yes…it is too good to be true…no god would forgive or forget all the things you’ve done…you have to pay…

Wait…no…get away from the radio…not that song… stop singing…STOP singing…STOP SINGING!
