“Yes, I’m beginning to believe that too.” The bride answered confidently.
“When the two of you were brought together I wasn’t so sure, but now I’m positive.” The bride’s best friend continued, “You guys will go down in history as one of the best marriages ever!”
The blushing bride smiled and merely said, “I guess I’m biased, but I must agree with you, we are pretty amazing together.”
The rest of the bridal party poured into the suite. They sprinkled the bride with compliments and endearing words of support for her marriage.
There were snickers of glee, and mounds of encouragement within the entourage of the bridal party.
The bride nestled lovingly, amongst her friends, decided to make a brief speech to them. “I know I wouldn’t be here if not for each and every one of you. I was there when you---my beloved friends---got married.
All of you, have successfully joined into a union of bliss, and a delectable life, dedicated to each other. So, thanks for paving the way, while providing excellent examples of what amounts to a perfect recipe, resulting in an overall successful marriage, forever, I love you!”
The bride walked down the aisle smiling at her husband who was waiting for her to join him. An old song, by Sammy Davis Jr, The Candy Man, played softly in the background as they took their vows.
Pastor Butterfingers blessed their union, then quickly picked up their marriage license he had dropped onto the marble floor. Pastor handed the license to them and said, "Blessings to you both."
Mr.and Mrs. Reese Peanut Butter Cups, their hearts melting with joy, walked down the Milky Way, as they started their new sweet life together…
