Don't you just want to bite their tiny little toes,
and kiss the paddy bottoms
of their honeyed little feet?
Swipe the tootsies cross your cheek;
marshmallow silk,
powdered sugar,
Satin


Don’t you just well up at their wondering eyes,
and marvel at the trusting glance of
baby’s little peeps?
Look, it means they’re yours for keeps;
food for the soul,
nourishment,
Full


Don’t you just love the scent of mother’s milk
on sweet fairy breaths that
rise and fall?
Caress the precious little doll;
warmth for the heart,
sustenance,
Peace


Don’t you just savor the first sounds of cooing,
the music of innocence that
reaches to Heaven?
A perfect dimension,
a future song,
Hope


Don’t you just rest in the Father’s great gift,
the infant that mirrors
the state of our soul?
And the One given of old,
who renews all things
feeds our spirit
Joy


Don’t you just revel in Father’s forgiveness,
how He looks at our soul
through His son’s blood?
Let the glorious praise flood,
He sees us as children
with the same
Love

Oh, yes. That first stanza....yum, yum, yum....tiny babies, you just want to eat them up--delicious!

I had the privilege of one baby. I'll never forget the feeling.

My sister whenever she holds a baby she always says, "Mmmm...delicious" And, I've since heard others say the same thing...so you're on topic for that aspect for sure!
