Ever flowing within our souls,
River deep inside our being,
Optimism forever rolls.
That gentle feeling of elation,
A promise of a new tomorrow,
Glimmers glisten through the gray,
To brighten our moods of sorrow.
This, too, shall come to pass,
Miracles morph from our dark days,
Bursts of joy jump in our hearts,
Throughout the storm, faith stays.
As the soul longs for solace,
So goes our yearning to be well,
When pining pain speaks loudly,
Acts of God come to dispel.
As petitioned, God shall answer,
Solutions lie beyond the bend,
Glorious days will be here fast,
Rest assured, find peace on end.
What is now is temporary,
That to come is God’s own will,
While we wait for all good things,
Christ shall keep us calm and still.
We are blessed with this fine feeling,
To lift us from some dreadful place,
In our hearts we feel such gladness,
Knowing God shall shed His grace.
Mercy meets us each new dawning,
Whispers of wisdom help us cope.
Joyful freedom finds us smiling,
Our Lord has lent us heartfelt hope.
