Jesus stormed the temple.
I heard He wanted the money for himself.
Or maybe He was upset at the use of the temple.
Have you heard? Have you heard?
Jesus eats with sinners and tax collectors.
I heard He's just like them.
Or maybe He just loves them.
Did you hear? Did you hear?
Jesus and His followers eat with unclean hands.
I heard He doesn't follow the Pharisee's rules.
Or maybe He honors God rather than men.
Have you heard? Have you heard?
Jesus healed on the Sabbath.
I heard He's snubbing all the rules. Again.
Or maybe He cares for people more than tradition.
Did you hear? Did you hear?
Jesus came into Jerusalem riding on a donkey.
I heard He's going to overthrow the Romans.
Or maybe He has an even greater purpose.
Have you heard? Have you heard?
Jesus claimed to be the Messiah.
I heard He thinks He's greater than God.
Or maybe there's just something we're all missing.
Did you hear? Did you hear?
Jesus has been crucified.
I heard He called for Elijah with His last breath.
Or maybe He was calling to His Father.
Have you heard? Have you heard?
The grave is empty!
I heard His disciples stole His body.
Or maybe...
Just maybe....
He really is the Messiah.
Did you hear? Did you hear?
Salvation can be ours.
I heard if we believe, we'll be saved.
And maybe...
Just maybe...
That's more than just a rumor.

I love how you so clearly point out that gossip is as old as sin itself. Pharisees were gossiping about Jesus. Joseph's brothers gossiped about him. Job's friends gossiped, and on and on.
Great job with this entry! Thanks for sharing it.
Superb
God bless~
No red ink from me.
Blessings.
No negative comments on style, construction and content. It all flows beautifully. The only red ink comment I'd make is that He was vilified not because He was setting himself above God, but making Himself equal to God, claiming to be God.
Great, attractive writing that carried me through effortlessly to the end..
