Topic: First World Problem (04/17/14)
I’ve suits and coats in my closet
And tons of dresses and shoes.
And though I have a lot to wear,
I just hate to have to choose.

My cupboards are so packed with cans,
They sometimes fall on the floor.
Since it’s a bother to pick them up,
I just go and buy some more.

There’s a church on every corner,
But Sunday’s my free day.
Let others worship as they please.
I’ve games of golf to play.

I’m glad when elections are over
With all of that campaigning.
I thought one time I’d go to the polls,
And then it started raining.

Since we’ve plenty of good physicians,
It isn’t like me to fuss,
But their office waits are so tiring,
I think they should come to us.

For my internet, iPhone, and iPad,
And all technology,
Remembering some of my passwords
Will be the death of me.

This had a very nice flow to it and you did an excellent job of bringing your main character to life for me, as well as making your main point, which was spot on topic.

A great poem on this topic. You've brought up quite a few of our first world "problems" that bother us, the pampered. Well done!

It seems the common thread running through most of the entries is that people have too much of what they don't need and not enough of what they do. I enjoyed this poem which perfectly tied in with the topic.
