I have a word to offer to my brain,
A thing of great importance to command:
Do all you can to keep a busy mind
In order that your hidden cells expand.
Read books of worth, and intellect will grow.
The Bible is a wondrous place to start.
The thoughts of authors there were God-inspired,
And Solomon great wisdom did impart.

I have a word to offer to my heart:
You never could have too much love to give.
The Savior by His own example showed
The life of loving others you should live.
While selfishness can cause you to constrict,
Each kindness will enable you to grow.
With peace, contentment, joy you’ll have inside
Then care to all around you, you’ll bestow.


I have a word to offer to my waist
That’s unlike all my previous advice:
Extend, increase, spread out, develop—no!
To stay the same will certainly suffice.

Yep! Expanding all round is not for the waist, but that seems to be where we are the most rounded. Nice piece!

Love the message given the body in this little poem...expand the brain, expand the heart’s ability to love but do not expand the waist! Unfortunately my body got the message too late and didn’t stop with the brain and heart! Fun, lighthearted read with a very good message to heed!
