We may be getting laughed at by a world turned upside down
Because our faith is steadfast in the One who wears the crown
While the world finds it funny that we study still God’s Book
Those solid truths still prevail when it’s to heaven that we look

While the world scoffs and snickers as it dares to stop our voice
We each are standing confident--in You, we’ve made our choice
Let us not be weary when some days grow dark and long
Though the world revels in sin, let our strength in You stay strong

And when the world’s ways taunt us with evil bait to lure us in
Help us be victorious--today and till the end
In this world we’re labeled weird, the butt of hellish jokes
But our King, He bears our burdens and lightens up our yokes

In the mission fields we labor, saving souls--a daunting task
It’s sad that it’s so funny to the ones who will not ask
For forgiveness and for healing, for Your love to pierce their souls
It is no laughing matter should Hell be their final goal

Great job of delivering an important message in a jarring way. Interesing way of presenting the topic...with the opposite effect. A couple of people have done that, this one works so well.

One phrase really stood out to me and that was toward the bottom when you said "its funny to those who don;t ask" It is very sad that so many people never ask or invite our Savior into their lives. Thanks for sharing a very thoughtful poem.
