Between you and your fame;
You can feel her calling you,
Her icy fingers drawing you,
Tempting you to sit upon a throne,
As a queen of popularity.
A single touch would break the glass,
A single click would crown your name
With the laurels of fame,
As the world marvels
In your beauty.
A simple move
At a little price,
And all this is yours.
But beware, young Eve;
Before you take the fruit
Have you measured the full extent
Of the costs?
Every word that crosses the barrier
Echoes through millenniums;
The sorrowful woman
Who would take back her choices
Watches them color the ocean
As she attempts to dam the flow.
In vain she would use her bucket
To catch them again;
In vain she throws her blood into it
To purge the stains.
Will you be a prostitute
To win a crown of fame?
To share your treasures
May win you the approval
Of hungry men,
But you will watch your choice
Color the ocean
And the taste of fame
Will make you sick.

I can see the topic in there so honestly, I only had one concern. I'm not sure I see how the title fits the piece. That part escaped me.
But this was a wonderfully written with a powerful message too!
