Is nothing,
No matter how much you twist it,
How hard you shake it,
Or how many ways you take it—
That is, until it meets infinity,
And infinite nothings
Is one or two or three,
Or even infinity.
I could mix my virtues,
And shake them in a bag,
But infinitesimal talents
Still make nothing
When built into a stack.
Until I meet Infinity,
And infinite nothings
Will change the world 'round me
And fill eternity.
We can play a game with numbers
And crunch them all together,
But six billion nothings
Added to billions more,
Arrayed in perfect form,
Will still be nothing
In the end.
Until there isn't an end,
And infinity meets time itself:
Then God will spend eternity
Making infinite matches
Of our nothingness,
Mixing timelessness
With finite man,
Blending all our zeroes
Into an infinite,
Boundless,
Endless,
Immeasurable tapestry
Of love.
