Emotions move the singer’s tongue,
Delightful words give sweet release
In morning’s offering, he finds peace.
Omnipotent details so supreme
The Creator wows all mortal beings,
Mirrored images on delicate wings
Butterfly perfections appear each Spring.
Expressive strokes in lively hues
An exhilarating artist’s view--
Superb translations from a brush,
Sh-h-h, painted prayers are never rushed.
Triumphant hearts in jubilation
Saw colonies form into a nation.
Richly blessed by Him they stood,
In God they knew one brotherhood.
Today’s reality fills his page,
A soldier writes of fear and rage.
She reads his words with trembling hands--
So many wrongs to reprimand.
A violinist’s poignant strings
Whisper of forgotten things,
They seem to sigh, the bow it glides
O’er teary notes born deep inside.
Tap, tap, tap, click-clacking cleats
Give rhythm to the dancer’s feet,
Mood driven choreography
Expresses joy quite easily.
Penitent prayers on quivering lips
Find grace will bind each ragged rip,
His soothing salve now penetrates
And in His love, storms dissipate.
Scribbled thoughts across the papers
Share just glimpses, then like vapors
Disappear ’till penned rebirth
Captivate readers with their worth.
