Your virtues leave me reeling
The list of all the things you do
Provokes in me much squealing
Who indeed can find a wife so
Noble and exalted?
Accomplished in so many fields
A wife who can’t be faulted
I envy that your husband has
Such confidence in you
His life is blessed in myriad ways
Through all the things you do
I must confess I cannot spin
And neither can I knit
I lack the patience and the skill
And things I make don’t fit
You trawl the shops and bargains seek
You travel far and wide
And nothing past its “use by” date
Will in your fridge reside
Your eagerness to leave your bed
On dark and wintry days
Preparing meals for kith and kin
I sigh, such zeal dismays
You own a field, I have a yard
No vines, just grass and flowers
And yet, for me, to keep it neat
And tidy takes me hours
Such profits fill your coffers with
A pile of coins so high
I worry that my ends won’t meet
My barrel bottom’s dry
Your arms are open to the poor
While mine are tucked away
There may be money in your purse
But I have bills to pay
When winter comes I cannot laugh
With frozen pipes to mend
But you clothed in your scarlet robes
The snow and ice transcend
Your words uplift, encourage and
There’s wisdom on your tongue
Too often I am gibbering
My take on life unsung
The list goes on ad-nauseam
You’ve set the bar so high
I strive so hard to be like you
God knows I really try
I feel defeated, I’m so weak
While you are hearty, strong
A blessed and fruitful life is yours
While mine is going wrong
You make me feel inadequate
I ask the question why -
That any man when you’re around
Would marry such as I
My husband laughs and smiles and says
I’m Proverbs 32
That I’m his perfect partner and
He’s really scared of you!

The rhyme was spectacularly done; the wording solid and full of imagery and passion for your plight. I grinned widely all the way through, and laughed outright at the ending. Excellent message, with that lovely spoonful of sugar to help it go down. Very well done!
