With filigrees of gold
Across expanse of blackest night.
What wonder to behold!
His painting won’t have moon or stars;
Their faces will they hide.
They can’t outshine the radiance
When day comes to abide.
O’er rows of curves and triangles,
Great mountains still asleep,
God streaks a line of lavender;
With pink He makes a sweep.
The Master Artist smudges in
Some luminescent gray.
No earthly craftsman ever could
Such loveliness portray.
He brushes azure all around
And daubs in puffs of white.
The clouds that play in heaven’s fields
Are an enchanting sight.
He glides the gilded globe to His
Celestial estate
And sets the golden ball as watch,
A guard at heaven’s gate.
He colors rays of richest reds
To glisten on earth’s green
And sparkles beads of brilliance in
Reflected ocean’s gleam
This picture that our Lord designed
For all the world to see
Is foretaste of forever day
In His eternity.
His masterpiece that’s all aglow
With light ethereal
Will pale to Jesus as He shines,
Our King Imperial.

My favorite stanza was near the end (actually, it was just the one above the end, and that was the stanza that explained the title =D ). It said that all the beauty God shows us in our Fallen World is just a foreshadowing of the unimaginable beauty of what's to come in the New Earth. I can't wait until then!!!!!
May we bring many others to Christ so that they may share in that glorious day as well!
