Why?
You’ve left me
again --
starving,
rotting in a closet
with no toilet.
Mommy, why?
Why don’t you love me?
Mommy, why?
Where are your arms around me?
Why don’t I hear you saying,
“I’m so sorry.
I should cherish you.
I should not have…
I wish…
I could have…
I would have……”
I'm scared.
Mommy, why?
Look at me Mom! I’m the daughter you should want.
Look…
Look…
Mommy, why?
I must be unlovable.
It's so dark in here.
No one cares.
I don't matter.
Mommy, why?
I
need,
to hear you say,
“I love you,”
You ask me why you should love someone
like
me.
Mommy, why?
Why can’t I hear you say,
“I love you.
You’re so beautiful.
You’re so precious to me.
Why can’t I hear you say,
“I love you
just
because?”
Oh!
Jesus is here!
His arms are wide open.
His eyes are full of deep love
and I know he wants me to throw my head
on his chest
and so I do.
It’s safe here
in his arms.
Jesus smells of flowers and butterflies and blue sky.
I feel his tears fall on me.
He holds me tight
and strokes my hair.
He kisses my head.
Here,
in his arms
I know
I
am
loved, by my Jesus,
content, in my Jesus,
precious, to my Jesus,
wanted, by my Jesus,
and loveable, to my Jesus.
Just
because.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Ps 27:10

Well written, and it gives the HOPE that is in His arms, where His angels see and report everything that happens to the least of these... Well done.
Great job, keep up the good work!
