And into thirsty valleys, murmuring voices spill
Notes thud on cement jungles where poverty’s the rule
There’s a droning, an emptiness where love should be the fuel
Buzzing melodies imbue tones of desperation
Not only for man, but all of God’s creation
Polluted streams, smoggy air, oil dumped in rolling oceans
What happened to the caring for all things with devotion
Shh, someone’s singing words that ride the gentle wind
From an open window lovely lyrics don't pretend
They spread a hopeful message to people on the street
Like summer days I’m warmed by the voice I’ll never meet
I’m just one person with my Bible and pious cause
Handing tracts to strangers, praying, please let someone pause
Long enough to read and understand what the choice is
Be trapped by friendly wolves or set free by truth-filled voices
On blue horizons, a crowd with raised, rejoicing hands
Gather by heaven’s gate where a new saint kneels, then stands
Many come to meet and greet with joyous, shining faces
A welcome hymn crescendos into out-of-worldly spaces
There’s banjos strumming, children humming and base drums pounding beats
And every single resident has heavenly happy feet
Entering perfect peace, I finally realize
It’s me at God’s gate, awestruck by dazzling eyes
I don’t recall leaving my worldly post on Beacon Street
Did I depart with drama or go unnoticed in retreat
Each thought turned to vapor, a rainbow colored mist
Never to return, worldly thoughts here don’t exist
Time has no calculation, nor is there ever night
Love emanates everywhere, and it is Jesus bright
Angelic choirs sing praises to God, His Majesty
Robed now in finest linen, I join the jamboree

I love verse 4 particularly and the beautiful descriptions of Heaven. Thankyou for this.
