Why should we accentuate
Unbiased love instead of hate
Think of all that could be gained
If Godlike love in all hearts reigned
Plant opportune seeds--the need is great
Where is your focus--dare you not lie--
On God, every neighbor, or is it me and I
What’s your motivation for daily life
Money? Power? Prestige? Fear or Strife?
Joy is Jesus first, then others, lastly--it’s I
When left unfed, spirits shrink, some die
Without motherly attention, babies will cry
Time in prayer nurtures ev’ry seeking heart
Due to wisdom and love, these His words impart
Be strengthened by Truth--God cannot lie
Like dandelion seeds scattered by breezes
Or deadly germs spewed when one sneezes
Words unkind, though they may be true
Should never be spread by me or by you
Emphasize goodness taught by Jesus
Should tragedy strike and dreams be crushed
Will help be prompt or sadly unrushed
Be grateful, be cheerful to be alive
Pass it forward so others may thrive
Heavenly attitudes should never be shushed
When obeyed, His great command
Could alter lives in nations grand
Darkness snickers as he lures souls in
With ambitious greed and narcissistic sins
A pity that so many simply misunderstand
When our lights shine outward then we shall see
The hurting, the hungry, world’s poverty
Blessed are the workers who give God praise
For gracious miracles that fill their days
Use me Lord, I surrender my life to Thee
