Step back and take a look around
Before in trouble you are found.

Step over obstacles you view
With knowledge God can strengthen you.

Step far from friends who’d lead astray.
Stay close to those who know the Way.

Step by temptation calling you
To do the things you should not do.

Step like the Good Samaritan
And help the needy when you can.

Step down from taking credit due.
Let others shine ahead of you.

Step out of darkness to His light.
You’ll not then fear the coming night.

Step past mistakes you might have made.
Our Lord the price for sins has paid.

Step off your high horse to the ground
Where bitterness cannot abound.

Step from your selfish, lazy ways.
Seek usefulness through all your days.

Step into praise when you feel sad.
His presence near can make you glad.

Step in the paths that Jesus led,
Revealing kindness in His stead.

Step on the glorious Gospel train.
A home in heaven will you gain.

Your wisdom-filled message is so cleverly presented. You have a gift with meter. Favorite stanzas are "the high horse" and the "Good Samaritan." I wanted to read this a second time. Your message was for me. Thanks.
