To You, my Lord, My God, Creator,
I’m grateful for Your loving favor.
I thank You for the nourishment
From rain and sunshine that You’ve sent.

You’ve blessed my life from bud to bloom
With fragrance like a fine perfume,
With color wonderfully fair,
And softness that’s beyond compare.

My blossoms make a lovely show
From fertile soil where deep roots grow.
The greenness of my sturdy stem
Is contrast for my petaled gems.

The pointed thorns of Your selection
From animals provide protection.
You have supplied all things I’d need
From when I was the smallest seed.

You fashioned me as special treasure
With purpose to bring people pleasure.
Adorned by only morning dew
To display an enchanting view.

I pray my beauty tells the story
Of riches found within Your glory,
My blossoms speak of Your creation;
They praise Your name without cessation.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Your word choices and alliteration adorn this prayer beautifully. Favorites are "bud to bloom" and "purpose to bring people pleasure" I love your closing verse in relation to your poem. We can learn much from a rose.

Your poem expresses exactly why I have roses in my gardens. That they "know" and are aware of not only their beauty but beauty is as beauty does - speaks of the humility of these most beautiful and fragrant of flowers.
