Until I pause for time to pray.
Within my view, miracles speak
That God is strong and I am weak.
For Who can tell the sun to rise
Except the One who speaks no lies.
And Who can plan a universe
But Him, our King who loved us first.
I watch Spring flowers lift their heads
As they awake from winter’s beds.
Who told them that their sleep was done,
Who warms them with His fiery sun?
Two busy birds together build
A nesting place as God has willed.
Tender shoots and painted flowers
Drink their fill from Springtime showers.
The beauty of His velvet rose--
Who, but God could choose such clothes?
Soaring up to meet the clouds
Voices from the feathered crowds;
And Who inspired their melodies,
It’s He who brings us to our knees.
And when my day is all but spent
More treasures wait, they’re heaven sent.
Winking stars, unnumbered they,
Serve and guide the traveler's way.
The crescent moon, a nightlight smile
Says He loves us all the while.
In the distance a dove is cooing,
Across the field a cow is mooing.
I give in now to needed sleep
And know that God, my soul will keep.
Content in thoughts I dared to share
With Him, because I know He cares.
My awesome God, my fears subside
Each time I trust in You to guide.
