Which end is which? With this kind of a moptop dog it’s anyone’s guess.
It’s like looking at your life from the middle. In one direction you are going backwards. God went there long before you did! He didn’t miss a thing! In the other direction you look forwards. Abba Father went there earlier too.
He showed me once. It was the biggest surprise! I was under the anointing and having a big argument with Father. “No, I don’t want to go” I was pleading, or shouting, or begging. “There’s too much hatred”. I was indeed arguing about my own conception. Going into that mother was a terrifying proposition to me.
“I will always be there for you, Father was saying.” I must have weakened because the next thing I was conceived – into my human body.
And He has, indeed, always been there for me. As a child a neighbouring family took me with them to Sunday School where the foundational teaching provided me with the recognition I needed when I later had the opportunity to become His child. At University there was the option of the Christian Club for further growth and teaching, and now there is my amazing church, not to mention the Word, and theophostic ministry.
I’m really glad I was conceived into the physical, difficult though it has been. Not to have the opportunity to know my Lord would have been savage. Now I’m getting the picture that the eaglet has broken out of the eggshell, all fluffy and white, amazed at life and eager to grow up and fly.
Well, that’s the story of one end of my life. I haven’t got to the other end yet, so that’s still to be written. If it is as exciting as the funeral I attended the other day it will be wonderful. We listened to the reading of the facts about heaven as in the Revelation, knowing that dear Pearl is there enjoying all that at this moment – golden streets, mansions, the cloud of witnesses waiting for her, the River of life and the fruiting trees, the rewards, crowns, and especially those words “Well done, good and faithful servant!”. We could hardly be sad for her. For ourselves, yes, but not for her.
I’m really looking forward to it! Do they have moptop dogs there I wonder?
