Seemingly unaware of children in need,
the more riches they garner, the more they want,
better cars, better homes, and money to flaunt.
Corporations seek their need for more power,
to fill blue skylines with buildings that tower,
while third world souls live in huts and perish,
malnutrition claims the loved ones they cherish.
Our power has led us to much corruption,
fighting more wars causes such disruption,
pockets of governmental leaders flourish,
while poor and indigent go without nourish.
For the next generation's future I fear,
my granddaughter's innocence I hold so dear,
some certain disasters she will have to see,
to witness the destruction of her country.
Our leaders have forgotten all about God,
to remove His name from our money is odd,
because other religions they might offend,
while evil workings are allowed to descend.
We, the people have faith for a new nation,
In God We Trust is our basic foundation,
One nation under God we need to believe,
for of all His blessings we need to receive.
