The deep end of life
The deep end of the pool
The deep end of debt
The deep end
The deep end of a marriage
The deep end of a job
The deep end of a friendship
The deep end
The deep end has various scenarios running through my overly active mind. The little hamster just does not take a break from that squeaky wheel. It is more than exhausting; it leaves me breathless.
The deep end of a bottle
The deep end of an ice cream carton
The deep end of drugs of choice
The deep end
The deep end of defeat
The deep end of surrender
The deep end of letting go
The deep end
Why must the pain be merciless? Why must letting go be so darn hard? Why must acceptance seem impossible? Why must anxiety dominate the day? Why?
The deep end of questioning
The deep end of regrets
The deep end of self-betrayal
The deep end
The deep end of no answers
The deep end of never giving up
The deep end of tugging on boot straps
The deep end
These isolated life-situations share a common thread. Twisted into ropes are the whirlwind of endless emotions that heave and weave the agonies and pains of life’s dead end veracities. The agony of defeat prevails. Yet beneath the delicate veil of denial are more lies we utter. Those little white lies we keep telling ourselves enable placating, ignoring, denial, and all erode our self esteem.
I dare us to dive in and face realities we would rather not see in our own deep ends. Can you spot the flaws in your kinked armor? If we remove the shroud that hides us from the world, will we see a valley of tears? What revelations might come into light if we magnify our actions of willful blindness? Do we even dare?
None of these are easy paths of challenge or tasks to undertake. Only with the powerful grace, mercy, forgiveness, and healing of God can we begin living in the light of day.
The deep end of forgiveness
The deep end of God’s grace
The deep end of healing

Great writing.
A fresh new approach to these two words. I only think of deep end of the water or deep end as in going off of one.
Very well done, I say!
