You did your job with this one. About half way through I could see how I covered the irritants in my body to make them less painful. You opened my eyes with your words.
This is really good. Your word choices are excellent and pack a really strong message in this staccato style. I love the lines
'From infliction
to benediction.
Redemption.'

There's a grain of truth - as well as irritation - here. I'm so glad you didn't clam up.
Great positive challenge to wrap up; not simply to internalise the lesson, but to look for how we may help others to discover God's grace working for them.
Well done.
Beautiful poem! Word combinations that are playful in the mind, and great fun to read put loud. Consider keeping the clear oyster/pearl imagery right through the last line. Does it feel a little sidetracking to mention sow's ears and soul food at the end? Since the pearl image is so beautifully and powerfully present throughout, might you consider using only pearl imagery in last stanza as well? A delightful piece.
Congratulations for placing 3rd in your level and 13th overall!
