For gleaning is what is left over from the work of Your servants.
It was left for the poor and needy,
Those not of Your household.
Lord, You have made me more than a servant.
You have adopted me as Your child,
And I sit at Your table and eat of the bounty You provide.
Your Word, every jot and tittle
Has a flavor of its own,
Some salty, some bitter,
Some sweeter than honey from the honeycomb.
I am blessed to eat my fill
And free to come back to feast again, and again.
I want my spirit to grow fat on the Word.
Your Word nourishes and strengths me.
What I love most is to sit at Your feet
As you feed me the choicest morsels
That comes directly from Your heart.
Give me the logos of the Word,
And how it applies to my life.
I realize that in so doing,
You will hold me accountable
On a higher level than before,
For to whom much is given, much is required.
I am willing Lord, for my hunger for Your Word in insatiable.
