Jill Update Status: Hello to my facebook family and friends! And, yes, my last name has changed! I did it! Brad and I got married Friday after Thanksgiving. He’s the guy I met through the online dating service! Can’t wait to celebrate our first Christmas together.
Comment-Marge: omg! I didn’t even know you met someone. Congrats, I guess!
Comment-Judy: What???!!! Can’t believe it! What do your kids think?
Comment-Jill: @Marge-well, it was kinda sudden, but we’re soooo happy! @Judy-My kids are fine. You know teenagers! They’re a little grumpy!
Comment-Hailey: Uh…no, mom, we’re NOT okay! You hardly know the guy!

Jill Update Status: Shopping, shopping, shopping! I love Christmas! I got Hailey that phone she wants and Jeremy a new laptop! Still not sure what to get Brad.
Comment-Sylvia: Is your new hubby rich? Those are nice gifts! What’s he do for a living?
Comment-Hailey: Geez, mom! Like, you know, I read your fb! I mean…thanks, but was this supposed to be a surprise? Oh…btw, get Brad a muzzle! I could hear you two fighting last night, you know.
Comment-Marge: You two are fighting already?
Comment-Jill: @Sylvia-he’s not rich! He’s an accountant! @Marge-no, we’re not fighting! He’s just very conservative with money, and I’m not. @Hailey-why are you reading my posts?
Comment-Hailey: Duh! So unfriend me.

Jill Update Status: Not feeling too well! I ate a whole 5 lb box of chocolates. And Christmas! Bah humbug!!
Comment-Iris: What’s wrong, dear friend?
Comment-Marge: 5 lbs?! Share some chocolates, dearie! Or should I call you Scrooge? lol
Comment-Judy: Ah, honey! Feeling depressed?
Comment-Ellen: You may be almost 40, but I’m still your mother! 5 lbs of chocolates? Do I need to spank you?
Comment-Jill: *sniffle* Teenagers! New husband! Of course I’m depressed! @Mom! I don’t need a spanking! I need a hug!
Comment-Hailey: Mother! Must you put everything on fb?

Jill Update Status: Whew! I feel better! I went shopping, got myself some new clothes, treated myself to a pedicure and a facial! I look fabulous! Can’t wait for Brad to see the new me! Gonna take the family out to dinner at a nice restaurant! “Deck the halls….fah-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la”
Comment-Jeremy: Mom, I need $40 to buy my girlfriend a Christmas present.
Comment-Marge: More shopping? I thought you said Brad was conservative with money.
Comment-Hailey: If Jeremy gets $40, so do I.
Comment-Jill: Ugh!!!!!! :(

Jill Update Status: I can’t believe that Brad was in such a bad mood last night. He didn’t want to go to a nice restaurant. In fact, he stomped out of the house! Thank goodness carolers came by or I would’ve dissolved in tears!
Comment-Judy: Jill, you need to go to church with me Sunday. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season!
Comment-Ellen: Judy is right, Jill. Let God help all of you. You’re still coming over for Christmas dinner, right? I want to see my grandkids.
Comment-Hailey: Mom, I’m spending the night with Vanessa? I need to get out of this house.
Comment-Jill: This Christmas feels like a disaster! I want to crawl under the covers and stay there.

Jill Update Status: My kids are grounded forever. Hailey did NOT have permission to stay out all night. Jeremy got into a shouting match with Brad. I’m taking all their gifts back.
Comment-Iris: It’s tough being a parent sometimes. Love you!
Comment-Hailey: MOM!!! Quit putting our personal life on fb! Besides, I told you I was staying at Vanessa’s. Grrr!
Comment-Ellen: Oh, dear me! Should I come over?
December 18
Jill Update Status: We all went to church today. It felt good. Thanks Judy for inviting us. “Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn king…”
Comment-Brad: I think we need help, Jill. Church is a good place to start. I do love you.
Comment-Ellen: :-)
Comment-Hailey: I love you, mom.

Jill Update Status: Brad and I have had such wonderful talks, and we even met with the pastor. Okay, Hailey, I know you don’t want me to put our business on fb.
Comment-Iris: Merry Christmas, dear friend!
Comment-Judy: Praying for you all. Love you!
Comment-Hailey: Do I still get my phone, mom? Please, please! I’ll bake some of those Christmas cookies you love.
December 25
Jill Update Status: Merry Christmas to all my family and friends on facebook.
