Loved both the physical and spiritual nuances of this poem.
I love the last two lines:
Your love and grace have rescued me,
We’ll save this crop in time.

Isn't that just like the Lord Jesus? He may be last minute but He does show up in time. This was so sensitively written and had such a good lesson underneath it all. Kudos for a great entry! I can tell you have a heart for God.

The poem has such a sense of time passing, heavy toil, and then this pause.

"Yet hope and trust of yesterday,
Rise up from deep within,"

Beautiful.

You've captured the emotions of a farmer. I know; I'm married to one. ;0) Thank you for sharing this lovely poem.

There are many layers of meaning here, and you do a beautiful job of describing both the season of autumn and its metaphorical significance. Well done!
