Oh That Men Would Praise the Lord for His Goodness...Psalms 107:8



Dazzling is a simple sapling clothed with gleaming coat of ice, twinkling in the morning light... nice.
Be still and know that I Am God


Precious is a teetering toddler bundled head-to-toe, waddling steps in falling snow.
For of such is the kingdom of God


Pleasing is a family fire burning warm within the room, flickering flame dispelling gloom.
Faith...though it be tried with fire


Savory is a simmering soup... hearty ladles filling bowls, feeding chilled and hungry souls.
...And, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.


Gracious is a beloved book read aloud to listeners keen, spilling words of plot and scheme.
...Whatsoever things are lovely.


Cozy is a swaddling sweater tickling noses, keeping warm as drafts it closes.
...That they might touch but the border of His garment.


Wonderful is a winter's walk stimulating senses, creating mood for mending fences.
...Until seventy times seven.


Beautiful is a snowflake's scene covering sod, embracing grace from the heart of God.
For God so loved the world...


Majestic is a mountain's mantle frozen white, reaching for Heaven from its height.
...If ye shall say unto this mountain.


Priceless is a glittering gift wrapped in foil, presenting a treasure without toil.
...When he found one pearl of a great price, went and sold all that he had.

Winter of cold and barren, a time of hard and harsh, is when we find fulfillment in the burning warmth of God in us, where gloom is dispelled and grace is embraced, a treasure within, priceless in the heart that is seeking. Thank you for sharing this heart warming and inspiring message.

This is absolutely lovely in format and in word. I loved reading this, and though it might be set during the cold seeking days of life, it has an underlying warmth that shows a spark of joy--even in winter. It is hope-filled.

I really liked this poem, unfortunately I cannot say much else as poetry is not normally my thing. I really liked the form with the snips of bible verses after.
