Very intriguing setting and characters...I had the feeling there was a back story here that I didn't know.

A grammar note: When addressing a person, use a comma before their name. Joe, please hand me the remote. And a question--this didn't seem to be 'our' world, yet they had our Bible? That confused me.

Pieces like this would be gobbled up enthusiastically by the YA audience.
