"Is the art of NOT spinning your wheels,
Instead it's an art of how to be calm
While relaxing and cooling your heels."
But I still longed for summer vacations
Looking forward to fun in the sun
But as for the art of Momma's "calm wait,"
It was much easier said than done.
For after two months of autumn leaves
Followed by winter's ice, sleet and snow...
My patience was wearing a wee bit thin
AND I still had the spring yet to go!
I laugh when I think of those days of my youth
When years, weeks and minutes dragged by
But today Time flys so terribly fast
That nobody gives patience a try!
But I'm watching and praying for that little white cloud
That I've read in God's word since my birth
When Jesus will return and claim His own...
Bringing Peace and Love back to Earth!
Scripture Reference: "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning - that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." ( Romans 15:4 KJV)

Good Job !!!
A note: "flies" instead of "flys".
This is a just-right poem, very satisfying to read.
