Your Valentine gift, the presentation of your heart has touched me to my very core. I still tremble with joy and wonder as I write to you. I have waited such a long time, an eternity, for those words.
My heart is almost bursting. If I close my eyes, I can see your face. Your eyes, my beauty, invite me into the depths of your soul. Warm pools inviting me to dive deep. Shimmering, when you declared your love for me.
I long to gather you to my chest, to feel your heart beating with mine. Your lips, the perfect instrument you played when you told me of your love for me. No harp, no trumpet could be played as beautifully as your voice declaring your desire for me. Your smile, my darling, takes my breath away. It pierces the dark world with a brilliant flash of searing beauty.
You are perfect. I long to touch your sweet face, run my fingers through your hair. Hold you in my arms, feel your sweet breath on my throat. Every second, every experience will be precious to me. Even your indecision and struggle with your feelings for me, is precious because you chose me. Every tear, every doubt, every sigh are part of the process of you, becoming mine. No jewel or precious metal could compare to you in your complexity and wonder.
I have put away a special bottle of wine to celebrate our wedding. I will fast from wine, until we can drink it together.
I am almost finished with our home. I often smile, thinking of the delight that will dance across your features when you see what I have built for you, for us to enjoy together.
You must know you possess every beat of my heart, every drop of my blood. Your face is before me always. Your voice whispers through my thoughts. Your name is always on my lips. My hands ache to touch you.
Your gift of your heart means more to me than words could tell, than all the paper in the world could hold.
Long for me, my darling, as I long for you. Do you hunger for my touch, my words, our life? Soon, my perfect one, soon. Listen, watch, long for me.
Your Eager Bridegroom
