And which direction to refuse,
When I can’t see what lies concealed
And wait for truth to be revealed,
When problems occupy my mind,
And sweet release I cannot find,
When troubles seem to linger near,
And all I do is fret and fear,
When I’m bewildered and bemused,
And all my thoughts become confused,
When straight ahead the way is blurred,
And not a voice of hope is heard,
Those times I will not hesitate
Upon God’s Word to meditate.
Then humbly, I before Him kneel
And feel His presence, close and real.
I offer up my earnest prayers
And cast on Him my deepest cares.
Then, when I cannot see His face,
I’ll trust in His unchanging grace.
I know His promises are true;
Each day He’ll surely see me through.
Though difficulties lie ahead,
By His own hand I will be led.
