Time goes fleeting fast
When we’re together
Yet memories
Last and stay long
Joys they ring twice
When with you are shared
Pains bourne
Are half-dear tho’ are strong
Though Time blows and buffets
Its winds of erosion
Our bond
Will stand through the years
Distance conspires
To strain and estrange us
Each meeting
Our triumph’s through tears
Your joys, delights
Your secrets, your dreams,
Your fears
They are preciously shared
A shining jewel each
To fit in a crown
We forge
For each other to wear
I’d take your cause
Up to Heaven and plead
To Eternal
And shout and scream insolently
With a reckless devotion
Fired and empassion’d
I’ll bargain
My soul if need be
And when it is darkest
I’ll travel the Infernals
And I’ll challenge
And I’ll spit and I’ll cuss
And laugh in the face
Of their onslaught so feeble
I’ll teach them
To come between us
I’ll tell you dirty secrets
That no soul should hear
And show
My Dark Half under key
And things on a chain
And things behind bars
That no
Proper person should see.
And tell you about lies
My naughty little eyes
And things that are
Best left to Night
And I’ll listen with a nod
When you tell me
They are wrong
Only you have I granted that right
I’ve got friends that are nice
For sugar and spice
And that’s
As how it should be
But a treasured one or two
Never more than a few
We view
Each other transparently
And our lives so much richer
In our oath and our bond
And our
Passion for each other’s well being
It’s the risk that we take
A trust never to break
When we
Bare our souls for their seeing

Very touching thought. Thank you!
Sounds like you have an amazing Jonathan. The sharing was intimate and unguarded and causes one to long for such friendship always.
Very well done.
