Topic: Prosperity (05/11/06)
In the day of prosperity be joyful,
Smile and laugh while you can.
For in the day when adversity visits,
Except it then as a man.
For God set one to the other,
A time when life cycles once more,
Solomon wrote this is but vanity,
In Ecclesiastics seven, one and four,

Some times prosperity is dangerous,
The fool hearted, falls at this snare,
If you think you are something you’re nothing,
This pride will bring you despair.
The simplest of things, then will sleigh you,
You’ll fall without having one clue,
It is written down in the Bible,
Proverbs one, thirty-two.

Give God the praise, in prosperity,
For in Him you breathe and you move,
He takes pleasure in the wealth of His children,
Pay God the tribute He’s due.
Speak out of His justice,
Of His riches falling from heaven,
Read and let it lodge in you.
Psalms thirty five twenty seven.

For it’s in the times of prosperity,
The enemy is plotting his deeds,
He’ll visit when you are not ready,
To destroy all you have received.

Very, very Nice. I usually comment that it would be nice to have a footnote with the Scriptures referenced; however, without them, perhaps that's best...cause then we have to dust off our Bibles and look them up. Aha! But great job in rhyming with scriptured verses. Now I've got to go read them. Enjoyed this immensely.

Very clever! I caught one slip-up that you might want to correct: "slay" instead of "sleigh." The rhymed Scripture references reminded me of songs I used to sing in Bible School--a nice bit of nostalgia. Good job!

I liked the rhyming scripture references....first time I've ever seen that done! My favorite line: "If you think you are something you’re nothing,
This pride will bring you despair."
